I have the stainless model and it's easy to use and works well. It's opened 95% of my bottles on the first attempt and it's never taken more than two. It does take more room in the drawer than a standard opener but it is so much cooler.


I have had a number of compliments on this thing and it is pretty cool. It does take a bit of finesse sometimes but has worked consistently for me for sometime.


This device is useful, but could easily be replaced by a lighter and dexterity. Great as a conversation starter (the ole "how does that even work?" is the usual response). If you like bottles, and you like novelty, buy this item.


This is one of the original openers. It's design is superior to another one that I bought some time ago. It is able to grab on and open more different types of cap and the plastic seems to be more durable than the one that I owned previously.

This is a very impressive invention. At first glance it looks complicated, but that is farthest from the truth. A simple push from the top and the top is off. Also, the actual bottle top is held by the opener with a magnet after the top is removed. Simply amazing. One of my best buys for parties. Great conversation piece.


Everyone opens bottles, and at our last party everyone clamored to open their own! This thing made everyone's face light up. People were opening bottles they didn't intend to drink just because opening them was so fun. You might not guess just from looking at it, but it's a very clever design, and I like the sentiment of their "Be Open" logo, along with the clear vinyl drawstring bag it came packaged in. There is a stainless steel verion too, which I also have, but how can you beat a price like this for such a cool little gift?


This thing is cool. Opens the bottle with ease and it is fun at parties. Found it cheaper and better at shopzazu.com for the stainless model and they will even have it engraved with your initials! The plastic model is a bit cheesy with the be-open logo, I preferred the plain one made by topperpopper, or the logo of the one marketed by prodyne. Different strokes....

I keep coming back for these. Great Gadget- Great Gift. Every time this opener comes out, everyone wants to use and find out where you got it. Love it, Love it, Love it.


Same problem as many others. Worked for a couple of months then the spring inside blew out. Now, it's decor` on top of my microwave. Very disappointed.


I purchased a few of these as White Elephant gifts over the holiday season, and man were they a hit. Once you see it in action, it's all good fun from there. Sturdy and much lighter than it appears, this bottle opener does the job while putting a smile on your face in the process. The Stainless version is what I selected as it makes the bottle opener feel like it's worth much more than it really is. One thing that surprised me is how little effort is needed to open a bottle. Other than that, I would highly recommend the Be Open bottle opener.


I bought this as a Christmas present for my brother because my boyfriend had gotten a similar one for free from a Mexican restaurant and it worked great. Even though the Be Open bottle opener seemed to be of higher quality than the plastic version that my boyfriend has it still takes at least two tries to get the bottle cap off. I was disappointed with the product although I still think the idea is great.


At first this thing worked great it took the bottle cap off every time. It was awesome, but after about 5 months of rare of use, the spring got shot and it started taking about at least 3 pushes to get the cap off. Quality should have been much better. For what I paid for, the quality was way too low. I would recommend this only if you plan on using it once maybe twice a year tops. You know maybe use it at Christmas and show it off to your extended family but other than that it'll just make a nice paperweight.


This product is great. So simple, but works fast and easy to open a bottle. Our friends all are amazed they haven't seen this before


I bought this item after seeing it on Diggnation. Well not this exact one, but similar. I thought that since it was stainless steel it would be awesome and be made of better quality. I was wrong. These things easily break after mild usage. It is plastic insides with sub-par quality springs that wear out. The opener completely became ineffective after about a months use. Be gentle if you do buy this. The concept is there...the craftsmanship is not. Save your money and buy a cheap plastic one. When it comes down to it. They are one and the same. The only difference is the expensive outer shell. The innards are still made rather cheaply.


I loved this so much I purchased 8 of them and gave 6 away as gifts. Many people comment on this opener and ask how to get it. It is a must have.


I've had this now for about a year and for the first six months or so it worked flawlessly, at some point though when I went to open a bottle the little spring on the inside broke off and fell out. Oddly enough though it still works and am still using it. The only difference now is sometimes it won't catch bottle cap on the first try but usually after a couple of tries it comes off. So hopefully a year later they have made this product with better quality because when it works its awesome.


I keep lots a beer around just for showing this puppy off! OK, I'd have the beer anyway, but this def makes it more fun to have and friends are always very impressed at how the tops POP right off. Be warned though, the necks on Red Stripe are too short so you'll have to open those the old fashioned way... With your teeth!!
