I was thrilled to find these pliers. I had been using an old giant pair of regular pliers which were laughable to look at but I knew they worked.

I've opened several bottles with Metrokane pliers and they work almost exactly like the work tool. I say almost because when the cork is almost ready to pop you need to watch it closely and go slow. If you do that the cork will slide right out.

Everyone who has seen them, if they are a champagne fan, wants them. They are a little spendy but are heavyweight and should last a lifetime.


This is a fabulous item for those who enjoy a little "bubbly". The pliers are comfortable in the hand and very solid. Functional as well as attractive. They will help with even the most stubborn cork, with minimal effort. Cheers!!!!


Although accused of being a "sissy" at our New Years' Eve party, everyone who opened the next champagne bottle went straight for the champagne opener! I am so glad I had ordered it before the party!!


These pliers are as good as advertised. They take all of the effort out pf opening a bottle of champagne properly.


This tool is just wonderful. Even the toughest cork comes out easily without losing the champagne. I love it!
