I've had a lot of corkscrews over the years & the Metrokane Rabbit is the absolute easiest corkscrew that I have ever had the opportunity to use. It is simple to use & very well worth every penny it costs.


Performs well. Case is somewhat difficult to reassemble and attached foil cutter is difficult to operate unlike cork puller.


My wife and I use wine mostly for cooking. When my wife is preparing a recipe, I am often not around and our plain corkscrew was too difficult for her to use by herself. Thus the Metrokane corkscrew... My wife can easily open a bottle on her own now. I totally agree with the tip someone gave about lubricating the screw with a drop of vegetable oil. This makes the screw enter the cork even more easily...


I am not sure how people opened wine 50 years ago with just a little cork screw. Now the only way to open a bottle is with a fancy hi-tech opener which describes the Rabbit.

First of all the Rabbit makes opening a bottle of wine a breeze and I must say I secretly enjoy opening a new bottle of wine with the Rabbit. Pulling out the cork is a breeze and disgarding the cork is also pretty straight forward. It does not take a rock scientist to utilize the Rabbit.

The cons are #1 the Rabbit is somewhat large and bulky makes it tough to store. #2 Because of the size I would question the use of ease for someone with a small hand or a weak grip.


My mom wanted this for christmas and she LOVES IT. Easy to use (once you figure it out) and minimizes corking errors:) She particularly likes "how cute it is".


Great packaging and well built. It works fine and as advertised but the directions are less than adaquate. Even a mechanical minded-friend had to fool around with it before he got it to work and could show me. I've always been a dunce at this kind of stuff.

What an expensive rip off. Works great for about 25 bottles, then its time to replace the supplied worm screw, after that loses its teflon coating you go to the Metrokane web site and find a replacement for $10 plus shipping and if your lucky you may get a replacement in two or three weeks. Don't bother with an email to their customer service, as it obviously does not exist, no answer to questions. Stick with the $20 knock offs. Very disappointed in this company and its product.


The Rabbit is, in my opinion, the best corkscrew out there. It's simple and elegant, but more than anything very effective. I sent this to my girlfriends Mother and she loves it.


For the most part works pretty well. Sometime there are funny shaped wine bottles that it doesn't fit quite right.


If the cork is at all stuck, this devive completely fails.

Worse yet, the device broke after 6 months' use. They wanted me to pay for return shipping and send them $10 in order to get a replacement.

Save your money and get a waiter's corkscrew.
